Building and Shed Pads
Preparing the location for a new building is critical to the long term success of the project.
When a new build is going to be built the structure needs to go on a solid foundation. The first step is to excavate and remove the organic materials and bring the ground to the desired elevation so there is solid ground start on. Then the dirt that stays must be compacted. From there the geosynthetic materials and base rock can be installed and compacted. The key is lots and lots of compaction.
After the pad is prepared the area is ready for concrete and the construction of the new building

Building pads can have multiple different edges and be made with multiple different types of rock. Class 5 is the most common material used. Open graded rock is another option when drainage corners present. Grading the yard up to the edging, boulders and block retaining walls and timbers are often used as the boarder to separate the rock building pad from the rest of the yard.
